Welcome to the official website of the Buckingham Bowls Club, one of the oldest and most successful Bowls Club in Tasmania, which is situated in New Town just 10 minutes from the centre of Hobart with easy access to and from all Hobart suburbs.

Buckingham Bowls Club was established in 1905 and has three grass greens offering excellent playing conditions for up to 168 players at a time. The greens are normally opened for 6 days each week. Numerous social games, including random draw pairs on Tuesday afternoon and barefoot bowls on Wednesday evenings, are organised in the summer for the enjoyment of members.

One green is kept open during the winter and random draw social games are played every Tuesday and Saturday afternoon.

Bowlers from other Clubs and visitors are always made welcome.

The Club fields four sides in the men’s Saturday Pennant Competition and one mixed side, as well as three sides in the Midweek Competition. The ladies field four teams in the Thursday Pennant Competition.
